Scotland, God’s own country, full of drama and incredible scenery. View images from all around Scotland including Glencoe and the Isle Of Skye.
Scotland truly is the land of “all seasons in one day”. With epic scenery where you can feel the history and legends, to breathtaking coastal bays and beaches, it is a country that inspires. I have witnessed incredible sunrises, been battered by storms and snow on the Quiraing, and tried to fight the mighty winds on the cliff edges of Neist Point. And no matter what the weather brings to Scotland it always leaves one thing that is precious, memories.

Featured – Sligachan, Isle of Skye
Sligachan, a large moorland with a dramatic river flowing through it and the mighty Black Cuillin Mountains as a backdrop. In February 2020 I visited just before Covid changed everything. The weather as usual was mixed, and with Storm Ciara on the way it really was changeable. Sligachan was in full flow when we arrived at dawn, with heavy rain laden clouds. But the great thing about heavy rain is what can happen when it stops….
The sky was incredible, with the sun breaking through and giving colour to the clouds over the Cuillin Mountains. Traces of snow gave a hint of the season, and the torrent of water gave a dynamic sense of movement to the scene.
I usually visit Skye twice a year, and in 2020 I visited in February just before Covid changed everything.
The weather as usual was mixed, and with Storm Ciara on the way it really was changeable. Sligachan was for once in full flow when we arrived at dawn, with heavy rain laden clouds. But the great thing about heavy rain is what can happen when it stops….
