Phil Norton Photography (below referred to as ‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its visitors; this policy sets out how personal information is treated.

GDPR – General Data Protection Regulations

This website and Privacy Policy has been updated to comply with the new GDPR regulations brought into effect in May 2018. The Act was introduced to protect the data of all citizens within the EU and is intended to provide transparency over how personal date is collected, used, stored and shared. Explicit in the regulation is the disclosure of informing you what data is collected, preventing the collection of personal data that is outside the requirements of the use of this website, and ensuring that you will only be contacted by giving explicit consent by ‘opting in’.

(1) Data We Collect

Data collected other than that indicated in Cookies:
(a) Your name, address, email address, and telephone number should you choose to provide it is collected only in the performance of fulfilling contracts between you and us. By placing an Order on this website, you provide certain information such as above and your delivery address, and give explicit consent to its use in the fulfilment of the order. Payment information provided is store by the Payment Provider you choose such as Paypal or other payment processor and is not stored by us. No other information about you is collected which can identify any of your other personal information or beliefs. 

(b) Your name and email address is collected when you use the Contact Form to contact us. You may choose to provide a telephone number optionally and only if you wish to be contacted by telephone. By contacting us you give explicit consent for this information to be used to contact you.

(c) Subscriptions to Mailing Lists is provided on an opt-in basis and by opting in you give consent for us to send period emails to the email address you provide, such as news and latest offers. You may update your preferences by opting out at any time.

(d) No information is shared with third parties for the purpose of marketing. Your name and address may be provided to third party couriers only for the purpose of delivering orders placed with us, which you give explicit consent to by placing an order.

The information is used by the website to send information to your browser in order to make websites work more efficiently and in certain instances to deliver a more personalized service.

Communication, engagement and actions taken through external social media platforms that this website and its owners participate on are custom to the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policies held with each social media platform respectively.
You are advised to use social media platforms wisely and communicate / engage upon them with due care and caution in regard to your own privacy. We will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as by telephone or email.
This website may use social sharing buttons which help share web content directly from web pages to your social media platform. You are advised before using such social sharing buttons that you do so at your own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.

(5) Shortened Links in Social Media

We may through our social media platform accounts share web links to relevant web pages. By default some social media platforms shorten lengthy urls [web addresses] (this is an example: http://bit.ly/hjsnths).
Users are advised to take caution and good judgement before clicking any shortened urls published on social media platforms by us. Despite the best efforts to ensure only genuine urls are published many social media platforms are prone to spam and hacking and therefore we cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any shortened links.

(b) All electronic transactions entered into via the website will be via our payment providers specified above. We not collect or store financially sensitive information such as credit card numbers or expiration dates. All purchases are conducted securely to collect your payment information (such as name, address, credit card number, mailing address) and sends us confirmation of payment so that we may fulfill your order. 

(c) You acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet. You are responsible for keeping your password and other login details confidential. We will not ask you for any passwords.
