Featured – Sligachan, Isle of Skye
I usually visit Skye twice a year, and in 2020 I visited in February just before Covid changed everything. The weather as usual was mixed, and with Storm Ciara on the way it really was changeable. Sligachan was for once in full flow when we arrived at dawn, with heavy rain laden clouds. But the great thing about heavy rain is what can happen when it stops….
The sky was incredible, with the sun breaking through and giving colour to the clouds over the Cuillin Mountains. Traces of snow gave a hint of the season, and the torrent of water gave a dynamic sense of movement to the scene.
